COURSE DESCRIPTION The sports and entertainment industries are two of the most profitable in the United States. Marketing of sports and entertainment and marketing through sports and entertainment are the main focus of this class. Students will apply marketing principles to the sports industry and/or the entertainment industry. We will examine the economic impact of sports and entertainment as well as endorsements, sponsorships, product development, licensing, image, sales, promotion, pricing and more. Students will have the opportunity to explore careers and plan a marketing event.

If you have questions and don’t understand an assignment it is your responsibility to ask questions. You have the number of days to submit missed work equivalent to your absence. The maximum number of days you have to submit missed work is 5 school days. Rules and Expectations:

Cell Phone, IPod, IPad and Other Electronic Devices Policy
All cell phones should be off and away unless granted permission by teacher. We will use cell phones for a few different assignments, so there will be specific times when the cell phone can be used. However they may only be used during the designated times.
No electronic devices will be allowed during testing. Violation of this policy will result in a zero grade. NO WARNINGS!
Consequences for violating the classroom electronic devices policy:
1st offense: Warning 2nd offense: Teacher detention and call home 3rd offense: Office referral
Food and Drinks
No food or drinks are allowed in the computer room.
